I am a junior double majoring in International Relations and Comparative Cultures and Politics, with a specialization in Muslim Studies. Studying Arabic is critical for my personal, spiritual, and career development. In the future, I hope to become an academic and foreign policy advisor, applying my knowledge of politics in the Muslim world to positively influence US-Muslim world relations. As a Muslim American of Egyptian heritage, I feel well-positioned to fulfill this role. I am also very interested in working on economic and democratic development efforts in the Middle East, and I know that Arabic fluency is essential for fulfilling these goals.
