I am currently a freshman at MSU, and very excited about the coming school year. I have traveled a lot in the past 6 years and moved several times as well, both domestically and abroad. I love to see new places and learn about their cultures, which is why I'm excited to be participating in the ALIF program. Language especially has always interested me, because it is the glue that holds a society together, the means of our communication and a major aspect of how we define ourselves. I am an English major, with hopes of completing the the secondary teacher certification program in a few years. In addition to teaching I am very interested in international relations, and would really love to work internationally after college. I believe Arabic will help me in this endeavor because I am very interested in working in areas which are centered around this language. I am considering doing both a French and an English as a Second Language teaching minor.
